William McGrath Issues Caution on Electronic Signatures in Copyright Transfer

William McGrath, associate director of the Center for Intellectual Property, Information & Privacy Law, cautions that a click on an email “I agree” can force you to give up your copyright ownership. The technology can supercede the necessity for a Section 204 written document for transferring ownership of copyrighted materials.
