The John Marshall Law School in Chicago has promoted four associate professors to professors. They are: Anthony S. Niedwiecki, Kim D. Chanbonpin, Maureen B. Collins and Steven D. Schwinn.
Niedwiecki, also the associate dean of academic affairs, joined the John Marshall faculty in 2010. He teaches Lawyering Skills, Employment Discrimination and Law & Sexual Orientation.
Chanbonpin, who is the director of John Marshall’s US News & World Report 5th-ranked Lawyering Skills program, joined the John Marshall faculty in 2008. She teaches Lawyering Skills, Criminal Law, Torts, Gender, Race & Class and National Security Law. She also is the current president of the Legal Writing Institute.
Collins has been on the Lawyering Skills faculty since 2005. She also created and teaches a first-year writing course for students interested in intellectual property and is the faculty advisor for John Marshall’s Review of Intellectual Property Law.
Schwinn, who is the director of John Marshall’s Community Legal Clinics and the co-director of the International Human Rights Clinic, joined the law school faculty in 2007. He is a co-founder and co-editor of the Constitutional Law Prof Blog and regularly writes for the ABA Preview of United States Supreme Court Cases. He also directs the ABA Media Alerts project for the Seventh Circuit. He teaches Constitutional Law, Comparative Constitutional Law & Human Rights and Lawyering Skills.
